Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the ActingWeb AI Memory Service (“Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. These Terms are governed by Norwegian law, and any disputes shall be resolved under the jurisdiction of Norwegian courts.

2. Service Description

ActingWeb AI Memory Service provides personal memory storage and retrieval capabilities accessible through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). The Service allows you to store, organize, and retrieve personal information through AI assistant integrations.

4. User Accounts and Authentication

4.1 You must authenticate using a valid Google or GitHub account.

4.2 You are responsible for maintaining the security of your authentication credentials.

4.3 Each user may maintain one account per email address.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Store illegal, harmful, or infringing content
• Attempt to circumvent storage limits or security measures
• Use the Service for automated bulk data processing
• Share access credentials with others
• Use the Service in violation of applicable laws

6. Data and Privacy

6.1 Your memories are stored in AWS DynamoDB in the EU (eu-central-1) with daily backups going back 35 days.

6.2 We use OAuth2 authentication; we do not store your passwords.

6.3 Free tier: AI prompts and service logs may be analyzed to improve the Service.

6.4 Premium tier: Your AI prompts and service logs will not be stored for service improvement.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 You retain all rights to the content you store.

7.2 By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and process your content as necessary to provide the Service.

7.3 The ActingWeb software and Service are provided under open-source licenses where applicable.

8. Service Availability and Modifications

8.1 We strive to maintain Service availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

8.2 We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service with reasonable notice.

8.3 Free tier services may be modified or discontinued at any time.

8.4 Service Fees may change with reasonable notice to reflect Service costs or Service value.

9. Limitation of Liability

9.1 The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.

9.2 We are not liable for data loss, service interruptions, or damages arising from use of the Service.

9.3 Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid for the Service in the past 12 months.

10. Termination

10.1 You may terminate your account at any time through the Service interface.

10.2 We may terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

10.3 Upon termination, all your data will be deleted after 35 days.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms with notice via the Service or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
